Rental Application Form for Hollywood Ballroom

Part 1: Important Information

Space at the Hollywood Ballroom Dance Center, Silver Spring, Maryland, is available to rent for your special events. The ballroom is one of the largest in the DC/Baltimore area, and is something of a gem because of its size. Few cities have such a facility.

The maple, floating dance floor is an impressive 6,400 square feet, ideal for any event that includes dancing. It is a real ballroom floor, not sections of wood placed together as is typically done in a hotel meeting room.  The 12-foot ceiling gives the ballroom a spacious appearance and feel.

For open dances, we typically provide seating for 200 people at tables and chairs placed around the dance floor. For larger events, we can provide seating for up to 300 guests. Our largest events can accommodate up to 600 guests with additional chairs rented at $2 each.

PRIVATE EVENTS

The ballroom has hosted weddings and wedding receptions, quinceañeras, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, anniversaries, and other parties, as well as business meetings and corporate events. See conferences/business meetings for business rental during the weekdays.

PUBLIC EVENTS

Any event where tickets will be sold, or any kind of admission charged, is considered a Public Event and additional requirements apply. Please read these requirements.

AMENITIES

Ample free parking is provided, and we offer amenities that include a kitchen, walk-in refrigerator and serving bar.  Seating is provided for 300 guests, including 26 five-foot round tables and 12 eight-foot banquet tables.  You may bring additional items, such as public address systems, platforms, stages, video projectors and monitors, as long as there are no safety hazards, the items are promptly removed after your event, and the items have been pre-approved by the management staff of Hollywood Ballroom Dance Center.

STUDIO BALLROOM

In addition to our large, 6,400 square foot Main Ballroom, we also have the Small Ballroom (The Studio) which is included when renting the Main Ballroom. The Studio is about 750 square feet, has mirrors along one wall, and is adjacent to and connects with the Main Ballroom.

STAFF

We have an experienced staff of entrance, DJ, service counter, security, and others available should you need these services.

ALCOHOL

The Hollywood Ballroom Dance Center has a full beer, wine, and liquor license.  All alcoholic beverages must be purchased through Hollywood Ballroom as per Montgomery County Department of Liquor Control requirements.   Renters are not permitted to bring in their own beer, wine, or spirits as per the Rules and Regulations of the Board of License Commissioners of Montgomery County.
